Equal Parts, the AI-native insurance platform redefining how independent agencies operate and scale, today announced the Q3 acquisitions of El Valle Insurance, Archer Insurance Solutions, and Loma Portal Insurance.
Completed in three consecutive weeks, the transactions bring Equal Parts to 10 acquisitions just 16 months after completing its first agency acquisition, demonstrating the company’s ability to acquire at scale on its path to becoming the definitive platform for insurance distribution.
The acquisitions also represent an important evolution of the Equal Parts model. Agency owners who originally joined Equal Parts through acquisitions are now using the company’s capital, technology, and M&A infrastructure to expand their businesses through acquisitions of their own, all operating on the same platform.
Benito Ortiz, who joined Equal Parts through its acquisition of Strategic Insurance Group in New Mexico, led the acquisition of El Valle Insurance. Rex Young, along with Dustin Webb, Brock Sherwood, and Stephanie Musick who joined through Equal Parts’ acquisition of D3 Insurance Group, led the acquisitions of Archer Insurance Solutions and Loma Portal Insurance.
“We built Equal Parts to give great agency owners a platform to keep building,” said Mike Witte, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Equal Parts. “Benito, and the D3 team joined us as proven operators, and now they’re using the resources of the broader platform to expand their businesses. This is exactly what we envisioned.”
Equal Parts provides agency leaders with acquisition capital, M&A infrastructure, centralized operations, expanded carrier relationships, shared services, and Ultron, its proprietary AI operating system for insurance distribution.
“Three acquisitions in three weeks demonstrates our ability to move quickly and acquire at scale, but what I’m most excited about is who is driving that growth,” said Mike Meller, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Equal Parts. “Benito and Rex came onto the platform through acquisitions themselves. Now they’re building larger businesses through acquisitions of their own. You can start to see how these things stack up.”
“Ten acquisitions is a milestone worth celebrating, but we’re still early,” Witte added. “Our ambition is to build the definitive platform for insurance distribution. That requires giving great operators across the country the tools and resources to keep building.”
