Recognition highlights Full Sail’s industry-focused approach to preparing the next generation of music business professionals
WINTER PARK, Fla., Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Full Sail University has been named to Billboard Magazine’s 2026 Top Music Business Schools list, recognizing the university’s Music Business program for its hands-on approach to preparing students for careers across the evolving global music industry.

For more than a decade, Billboard has highlighted institutions that are educating the next generation of music industry leaders, as well as artists and producers who recognize the importance of the business skills these schools teach. Billboard’s 2026 list includes schools whose programs span areas such as music business, management, production, performance, publishing, and related fields.
“Being recognized by Billboard Magazine among its 2026 Top Music Business Schools list is a tremendous honor and a reflection of the exceptional talent, innovation and dedication of our students, faculty and alumni,” said Garry Jones, President, Full Sail University. “Our university is committed to preparing the next generation of music industry leaders with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving global entertainment industry. This recognition affirms the strength of our music business program and the extraordinary work happening across our university community.”
Full Sail University’s Music Business Bachelor of Science is designed around a project-based approach to learning and is available both on campus and online. The program prepares students to pursue opportunities throughout the music business, including artist development and management, music marketing, publishing, live events, streaming, and emerging music ventures. Students develop skills in areas including music business management, copyright and publishing, rights and royalties, artist development, marketing, distribution, data analysis, fan engagement, finance, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Coursework and projects are designed to place these concepts in practical, industry-oriented contexts.
As the music business continues to evolve through changes in technology, distribution, audience engagement, data, and emerging tools such as artificial intelligence, Full Sail’s Music Business program combines foundational business knowledge with specialized music industry education. The program’s curriculum is intended to help students understand both the creative and commercial sides of the music ecosystem while developing practical skills that can be applied across artist development, management, marketing, publishing, live events, and other areas of the industry.
Billboard Magazine’s 2026 Top Music Business Schools list appears in the publication’s October 2026 print issue and online. For more information about Full Sail University and its Music Business degree program, visit Full Sail University’s official website.
