(“Mid Penn”) (NASDAQ: MPB), is pleased to announce that Christopher Nestore has joined the Bank as senior executive vice president and chief risk officer. Nestore will lead the Bank’s enterprise risk management function and report to Rory Ritrievi, president and CEO of Mid Penn Bank.

“Chris brings an exceptional depth of experience across operational risk, regulatory oversight and governance, and we are thrilled to welcome him to our executive leadership team,” Ritrievi said. “His strategic perspective, sound judgment, and proven ability to build strong risk management programs will be instrumental as Mid Penn Bank continues to grow toward and potentially beyond $10 billion in assets.”

Nestore has 30 years of financial services experience in enterprise risk, regulatory remediation, audit, governance and controls. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and head of U.S. operational and model risk management at TD Bank, where he provided independent oversight and governance across the bank’s U.S. operations and advised senior executives, board committees and regulators on material risk and control matters.

During his tenure at TD Bank, Nestore held several senior leadership roles spanning operational risk, CCAR and DFAST strategy, finance governance and shared services. Earlier in his career, he held positions with Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, KPMG Consulting and Neuberger & Berman.

Nestore earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from Villanova University. He also completed the RMA Advanced Risk Management program at The Wharton School.

Active in his community, Nestore has supported disability inclusion initiatives and coaches youth sports to the special needs community.
